President Buhari has made his first appointment by renewing the tenure of the Accountant General of the Federation, AGF, Ahmed Idris. Three weeks after assuming office for a second term.
This was made known by the Director, Communications, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHoSCF), Mrs. Wunmi Ogunmosunle. In an announcement discharged on Wednesday, June nineteenth, Ogunmosunle said the letter of arrangement which was marked by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha states that the arrangement produces results from June 25th.
“The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Buhari has endorsed the arrangement of Mr. Ahmed Idris for the second and last term of four years as Accountant General of the Federation, AGF, as per Section 171 of the 199 Constitution of Nigeria (as changed),” the announcement read
Mr. Idris, who was first named in June 2015, was Director of Finance and Account at the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development. He had likewise filled in as Director of Finance and Accounts at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) base camp, Abuja.
